Have had quite a couple of busy weeks with one thing and another, Rob back from overseas and came for a visit for 5 days, great to see him. Kellie had her graduation and received her advanced diploma and cert. 4. great job well done. Still trying to work out what's happening in May for Andrew's 40th, hopefully all going well we will be able to take off for about 3 weeks with the caravan and have a holiday.
Still been knitting, done some baby snuggle rugs, they turned out okay too and also tried my hand at felting by doing a bag which I'm happy with, going to start another very soon. With winter just around the corner making sure I have enough pairs of socks, just something else to do in my spare time. hehehehe
On the Librivoxing front a little quiet for me at present, trying to wind up a couple of projects that need to be completed, would like to start a couple of new ones for readers. Camp Fire girls is completed and ready but having a hitch to archive org.
Lots of great projects on the LV site excellent stories, well worth listening to.

Until next time (when I get a free moment not very often lately)

Pinwheel Finished

Hooray !!!!!!! guess what? finished my Pinwheel Blanket. The end result can be seen on my Flickr page, under links on the left click photo's.

Well it wasn't too bad to knit after all and am very happy with the end result.

The last week I have finished up a few of my ongoing knitting projects, could not believe when I counted how many I had on the go, shouldn't get into this habit. I had beanies, caps on the loom, pinwheel blanket plus more.

The other thing I finished up doing were cat blankets, 4 of these I have done for this month (COM - K4C) already to be sent at the end of the month.

I have started knitting a matinee jacket, bonnet & bootees (4ply blue) but a pattern you need to do without any interuptions.

Finish for now Happy knitting

Back to School

First day back at school to day, one starting high school and one on his very first day, and Brayden excited to be going back to school .

Had a pretty full day today, visit from Cranky, at any rate that went okay. [LOL]

Allan finally went up to the doctor's about his knee, then had to go to Warwick for Xrays we'll wait and see now what will come next.

Spent most of the afternoon sorting & saving files for my Librivox projects, really wanted to do some more editing on another Solo that I decided to do, which reminds me I bet to go and post it on the forum. MC'ing is fun, there is always something to do, hopefully I can finish cataloging another one to-morrow which I started yesterday. (did that make sense) .

Until next time

Possum Pouches

The Possum Pouches have been finished and sent away for this month, I knitted them in 12ply pure wool. Casted on 35 stitches and worked from there.

Had a nice morning coffee with Shan on friday, turned up with my pinwheel shawl that I started knitting last week, met with her approval and felt better after finding out than when she attempted do her first one, had the same problem as me. We both feel good now knowing that we arn't on our own [LOL]

Received another free post pac in the mail today from K4c, I think this is my third one I have won in about 4 months, saves on the postage. excellent!!!!!!

Went through the baby knitting books with Kellie and yes: mum can you do this and then what about that one also, so consequently by the time she left there were coloured sticky notes on the pages, only 11 weeks to complete them.

Until next time ta for now.

What A Bargain

What a bargain I got the other day while in spotlight, wool for 50c a ball getting ready for there winter stock I would say.

Patons Inca which is lovely to knit with and some of there own entwine.
Patons Jet (12ply) was another.

Now on the knitting scene, in my wisdom I thought I would try my hand at knitting a Pinwheel Baby Blanket, easy to knit but oh! my! did I have some fun trying to kick it off, after about 15 tries I though that will have to do, I know it's not right but who knows I might get it right next time. I thought I might donate the blanket to K4c but my daughter saw it and has claimed it, looks like I will knitting another.

Still having fun checking out the Rav. site.

Tomorrow morning coffee with the K4c group, not many of us attend but I love going.

Will post some pics soon on the latest knitting.

Till next time

Knitting

Well I am really get stuck into the knitting again and enjoying it.

Over the last few months I have knitted anything ranging from very tiny premmie garmets, chemo caps and scarves, possum pouches and now some cat rugs and not to forget the Hope Bears for our Children who are in hospital.
Just recently have also become a member of Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/
which I have joined a few groups there one of them are members from Librivox http://librivox.org/ now I really feel at home there, so many friendly faces that I know.
Another group I joined at Ravelry has so many K4C members it's nearly like old home week with these two great groups.
With another Grandchild on the way I have also knitted a lovely cot blanket (well I think it is) Kellie likes it (my daughter) she picked the colour etc. I just done the knitting, that what us mums are for. LOL
Oh!!! by the way I have done some knitting for myself: Socks, socks, socks and more socks.
In all the years I have been knitting I never attempted any, once I did one pair I just kept knitting. The rate that I'm going I will have a real great stash of all different coloured cozy warm socks for next winter.
Can't forget a shawl I did for myself out of some mohair that I had, great to throw over the shoulders when sitting outside in the evenings. Friends and Family that know us also know how we like to sit out under the pagola (day, evening, summer and winter)
I hope to post some pictures of my knitting projects very shortly.
Enough jabbering for now but I would like to add: joining these groups the friendship and fellowship is just wonderful.
Well Friends until next time.
